The ECF partners have significant experience with strategic planning
for information technology areas and for the entire organization.
ECF partners have developed strategic plans and planning processes
for a variety of organizations that include Lincoln University of
Missouri, California State University-Bakersfield, the El Paso Community
College District, and a number of non-profit organizations that
include the Thurgood Marshall Scholarship Fund, the Missouri Veterans'
Commission, and local Chamber of Commerce, United Way, and YMCA
agencies. In addition, through the Advanced Networking with Minority
Institution (AN-MSI) initiative, the ECF partners have facilitated
information technology strategic planning at a number of colleges
and universities.
Being versed in a variety of approaches to strategic planning that
range from the more traditional models of creating goals and objectives
to the newer scenario planning models, ECF can develop a model to
meet the specific needs of the individual college or university.
In that regard, ECF spends the necessary time with each campus in
the critical "planning to plan" step. Where appropriate,
those existing planning activities that have been successful for
the organization will be utilized or enhanced.
ECF also knows that many strategic plans go nowhere unless they
consider the related costs and budgetary realities. Thus, if the
organization chooses, we can facilitate development of a budgetary
plan that is integrated with the strategic plan.
